The Frontier got a full redesign for 2022 and it shows. This SV comes with the 3.8L V6 putting out 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic. It's a strong powertrain for the midsize class, and you feel it on the highway merging onto 101 or pulling a load up the grade.
The SV trim gets you the right stuff without paying for things you don't need. Comfortable cabin, enough tech to keep you connected, and a bed that's ready to work. Towing capacity sits at 6,720 lbs with a 1,460 lb payload, so it handles a trailer, equipment, or a weekend haul without much drama.
Nissan built this generation Frontier to compete with the Tacoma and Colorado, and they did a solid job. It drives tighter than the old body style, rides better, and the V6 has real pull when you need it. Good truck for the Valley, whether you're running to Salinas every day or heading out to the coast on the weekend.
